EMMA was found in 2000. All three musicians studied at the music academy in Basel, Switzerland, where they met and founded EMMA.

EMMA was invited to the Fringe Festival Philadelphia in 2001. Other concerts where played at Gare du Nord Basel, and during the “Museumsnacht” in the “Museum für Gegenwartskunst” in Basel.

Musicians like Sascha Armbruster on Saxophon and Benjamin Brodbeck on drums, joined EMMA for some concerts as guests.
